It has always amazed me that people would rather go out and buy a little 3oz jar of pureed banana baby food with a nice little product label on it that tells them what’s in it…. rather than taking a bunch of bananas home and pureeing them in a food processor with some nutmeg or other spice. Wouldn't you rather have your children develop a taste for real food rather than preservatives and artificial flavors, sweeteners, and all the other chemicals used in modern food processing?

We get indoctrinated into this industrial food culture at a fairly young age and it is hard to break out of the cycle, to see just how easy it is to eat real food…. and feed our babies real food, like the example above.

A home kitchen has everything in it needed to be a little micro-food processing plant.  We have a heat source, we have water and we have a refrigerator and freezer for long term storage.   I’ll be frequently posting articles, pictures and videos related to getting you out of the habit of buying processed food with pretty little labels… and into your kitchen using the appliances you never knew their full capabilities... or how easy it really is to get back to cooking for your family again.
